Type ZP underground tanks from the Trokotex Water Series feature a robust, ribbed construction specifically engineered for underground installation. Compared to traditional concrete tanks, they are significantly lighter while offering an exceptionally long service life.
Our range of underground tanks includes single-wall GRP tanks designed for the storage of:
- Drinking water
- Rainwater (stormwater)
- Fire protection water
The professionally engineered and reinforced construction of Trokotex underground tanks ensures safe and reliable storage while eliminating the corrosion issues commonly associated with concrete and steel tanks. All tanks in the Water Series are manufactured from Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP).

Underground storage tanks are typically manufactured as horizontal cylindrical vessels with dished end caps.
Available in a wide range of capacities, they are used across numerous industries, including food processing, agriculture, municipal infrastructure, and industrial applications. Their robust construction, combined with PZH hygienic certification for potable water, guarantees outstanding quality and long-term reliability.
The standard installation depth is 1,000 mm. Greater burial depths are available upon consultation with our engineering team.

Specifications
Trrokotex underground tanks can be manufactured according to our own engineering documentation or based on customer-supplied drawings and specifications.
The standard burial depth is 1,000 mm. Alternative installation depths can be accommodated following consultation with the manufacturer.
Depending on ground conditions and groundwater levels, underground tanks can be installed on: Reinforced concrete foundations, compacted sand-cement bedding, or engineered soil backfill.
Standard underground tanks are available with the following internal diameters: 800 mm, 1,200 mm, 1,600 mm, 2,000 mm, 2,400 mm, 2,800 mm, 3,200 mm.
Tank length is fully customizable and is generally limited only by transportation requirements.
