The operating principle of an industrial scrubber is based on passing contaminated air through a chamber containing water or a specially selected scrubbing solution. During this process, pollutants are transferred from the gas stream into the liquid, while clean air is discharged into the atmosphere.

Standard Trokotex industrial scrubbers consist of an absorption chamber together with all necessary process connections for gas and liquid inlet and outlet. Upon request, scrubbers can be equipped with structured or random packing, including Raschig Rings, Białecki Rings, and Pall Rings. The selection of packing material is critical for ensuring optimum chemical resistance, absorption efficiency, and long-term durability when operating with aggressive process media.
