GRP Silos

Trokotex GRP silos are designed for the storage of both bulk solids and liquid agricultural and food products.

Typical stored materials include:

* granules

* Powder

* Grain

* Salt

* And many other bulk materials

Benefits and Advantages

GRP silos offer numerous advantages over traditional steel silos. One of their key benefits is the superior durability of the composite material, while another is its excellent thermal insulation. The insulating properties of GRP significantly reduce condensation inside the silo, minimizing the risk of mould growth in stored grain, animal feed, and other bulk materials.

Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) also prevents bulk materials from adhering to the inner walls of the silo, reducing cleaning requirements and improving unloading efficiency.

Silos intended for abrasive bulk materials are equipped with a wear-resistant internal liner, providing increased resistance to abrasion and extending the service life of the tank. Where electrostatic protection is required, the silo can also be fitted with special conductive coatings for safe dissipation of static electricity.

Longer service life than steel silos

Excellent thermal insulation

Outstanding corrosion resistance

No contamination of the stored medium

Specyfikacja

Vertical ZVs GRP silos feature a lightweight yet highly durable construction, making transportation and installation simple and cost-effective. Their cylindrical body with a conical bottom enables complete gravity discharge of stored materials without residual build-up.

For bulk material storage, silos can be equipped with a wide range of optional accessories, including: Stainless steel filling pipe with Storz quick coupling, Inspection hatch, Additional nozzles according to customer requirements, Ladder with safety cage, Service platform, Level indicator, and other custom equipment

As every silo is manufactured for an individual customer’s specifications, the size and location of nozzles, threaded connections, inspection hatches, and other process connections can be customized without affecting the final product price.

Every Trokotex tank undergoes comprehensive quality inspections in our in-house testing laboratory.

The chemical resistance and mechanical strength of our products have been verified by independent laboratories recognized by the Polish Office of Technical Inspection (UDT). We hold certified chemical resistance approvals for a wide range of media, including: Sodium hypochlorite, Hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, PIX, PAX, ALF, Drinking water, Fruit and vegetable products, Food-grade media

Tanks designed for aggressive chemicals are manufactured in accordance with UDT-approved design documentation.

Each tank is supplied with a complete Tank Passport, including: Technical specifications, technical drawings, material certificates, laboratory test reports, UDT inspection protocol, and Quality control documentation.

To support engineering and design work, complete DWG drawings of our products are available upon request.
