Industrial cyclones are designed to separate and remove solid particles from gas streams. They are indispensable in industrial processes where large quantities of dust, powder, and other particulate matter are generated, helping to improve process efficiency, protect downstream equipment and minimize material losses.
At Trokotex, we manufacture high-performance GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) industrial cyclones engineered for demanding operating environments. Thanks to their exceptional resistance to chemicals, temperature fluctuations, and abrasive particles, GRP cyclones provide reliable, long-lasting performance where conventional steel equipment is prone to corrosion and wear.
To further increase durability in highly abrasive applications, our cyclones can be manufactured with anti-abrasion reinforcements, ensuring extended service life even under extreme operating conditions.
Every Trokotex industrial cyclone is custom-engineered to meet the specific process requirements of each project, combining maximum separation efficiency with optimized investment and operating costs.

GRP composites make it possible to manufacture large-capacity cyclones with significantly lower weight than steel alternatives, simplifying transportation, installation, and maintenance.
Our cyclones offer excellent resistance to aggressive chemcals, high and low operating temperatures, and demanding industrial conditions.
With no moving parts, industrial cyclones require minimal maintenance and provide highly reliable, virtually trouble-free operation.
Lightweight, durable and maintenance-friendly, Trokotex GRP industrial cyclones are engineered for decades of reliable operation, helping reduce lifecycle costs and support the long-term growth of your business.
Industrial cyclones separate solid particles from gas streams using centrifugal force. Compared to conventional industrial filters, cyclone separators provide a highly efficient, reliable and low-maintenance solution for dust removal. The performance of a cyclone separator can be optimized by adjusting key design parameters to suit the specific requirements of the process. Separation efficiency generally increases with a smaller cyclone diameter, higher gas velocity and improved particle adhesion to the separator walls.
Multi-Cyclone Systems for Higher Separation Efficiency. In large-scale industrial applications, a single cyclone may not provide sufficient capacity or separation efficiency. For this reason, industrial cyclones are often arranged in series or parallel configurations, creating high-performance multi-cyclone systems. These engineered configurations achieve the optimal balance between equipment size, airflow capacity, and dust separation efficiency, ensuring reliable and stable operation even under demanding process conditions.
Integration with Industrial Filtration Systems. Where process hases contain particles of various sizes, Trokotex GRP industrial cyclones can be integrated with industrial filtration systems as part of a two-stage air cleaning process. The cyclone removes larger and heavier particles, while the downstream filter captures fine particulate matter. This combined solution maximizes dust collection efficiency, protects filtration equipment and ensures long-term, reliable performance, even in the harshest industrial environments.

The design of an industrial cyclone is simple yet highly effective. With no moving parts, cyclone separators offer outstanding reliability, low maintenance requirements and a long service life.
A typical industrial cyclone consists of:
The clean air outlet is typically positioned above the roof level to ensure the safe discharge of purified air. To maintain maximum separation efficiency, the cyclone housing must be completely airtight.
This is one of the key reasons why GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) is the preferred construction material. Unlike steel, GRP does not corrode, ensuring long-term leak-tightness and reliable operation even in aggressive industrial environments.
Industrial cyclones are installed on a specially designed structural steel support frame. The support structure is assembled on site after delivery, allowing multiple cyclones to be configured into a high-capacity multi-cyclone system, even in facilities where installation space is limited.
Today, industrial dust collection cyclones are widely used in the woodworking, furniture, tobacco, food processing, and power generation industries. They are also commonly employed by manufacturers of industrial chemicals and food products, where efficient dust separation is essential for maintaining product quality and process efficiency.
However, the applications of industrial cyclones extend far beyond these sectors. Thanks to their ability to separate particles of specific sizes from gas streams, they are used in a wide range of industrial processes requiring reliable dust collection and material recovery.
Industrial cyclones are also extensively used in pellet production facilities, particularly in systems utilizing pneumatic conveying, where they efficiently separate wood dust and fine particles from the conveying air before it is recirculated or discharged.
