Many industrial facilities use corrosive and hazardous chemicals in their production processes or generate them as waste products. Large industrial plants require storage tanks with enhanced technical performance, capable of safely storing aggressive chemical media.
Trokotex Type ZHc horizontal tanks are the ideal solution for these demanding applications. Manufactured from Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP), they offer outstanding resistance to virtually all chemicals, including highly concentrated acids, alkalis, and other aggressive media, even at elevated operating temperatures.

GRP storage tanks are commonly used for the continuous storage of chemicals such as:
* Water treatment coagulants (e.g. PIX, PAX, PAC, ALF)
* Acids (e.g., hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid)
* Alkalis (e.g., sodium hydroxide)
Type ZHc horizontal cylindrical tanks are manufactured with an integrated continuous GRP support base, providing excellent structural stability and simplified installation.
Tank length is fully customizable and is generally limited only by transportation requirements.

Specifications
Type ZHc horizontal tanks designed for storing PIX, PAX, PAC, and ALF can be supplied as part of complete chemical dosing and storage systems.
These systems are widely used in wastewater treatment plants and water treatment facilities, where they provide safe storage and accurate dosing of treatment chemicals.
A typical dosing station consists of: A horizontal storage tank (Type ZH or ZHc), A secondary containment bund (Type WB), a chemical dosing pump, and a control system
Since every tank is manufactured to individual customer specifications, the size and location of nozzles, inspection hatches, and threaded connections are fully customizable and do not affect the final product price.
Tanks intended for aggressive chemicals are manufactured in accordance with UDT-approved design documentation (Polish Office of Technical Inspection).
For enhanced operational safety, we recommend equipping chemical storage tanks with optional accessories such as: Secondary containment bund, liquid level indicators, Pressure/vacuum relief valves, leak detection sensord, internal or external GRP or stainless steel ladders.
Each tank is supplied with a complete Tank Passport, including: Technical specifications, Technical drawings, Material certificates, laboratory test reports, UDT inspection protocol, and Quality control documentation.
