Platform GRP – Gratings Panels – GRP Decking Panels
As a manufacturer of TWS grating, we ensure the highest quality of our products. Plastic gratings, enriched with TWS fiberglass. They stand out for their low weight and exceptional resistance to mechanical damage and adverse external conditions.
At Trokotex, we offer composite gratings that are stainless, acid-resistant, non-slip, made of high-quality fiberglass and resin.
The applications of our gratings include: walkways, stair treads, flooring, platforms, trench covers, manhole covers, and separators.
Platform gratings are manufactured from glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP), also known as composite, high-grade synthetic resins, and glass fibers. In the first production phase, continuous strands of glass fiber (roving) are stretched on forming devices, and then the fibers are impregnated with synthetic resins and cured. The grating is reinforced in the same way in both the longitudinal and transverse directions, ensuring equal strength in every direction, and any edges of the grating can serve as load-bearing elements.

Depending on the type of resin used to impregnate the glass fiber, we obtain the following laminate options: standard chemical-resistant (based on polyester resin); enhanced chemical-resistant (based on vinyl ester resin); fire-resistant according to PN-EN 13501-1:2007 and ITB 401/2014 (based on self-extinguishing resin). Platform gratings can be made with a smooth or anti-slip surface. In the case of products with an anti-slip surface, during production, silicon carbide particles with a diameter of 0.3-0.8mm are embedded on the working surface.
The properties of our gratings allow:
reduction of the structure’s weight, cost reduction due to ease of machining and suitability for cut and drilled elements, strength in challenging weather conditions, and increased durability due to high chemical and corrosion resistance, simplification of the construction process due to ease of installation.
Durable and versatile GRP grating panels for industrial applications
Our GRP grating panels are engineered to meet the demanding needs of a wide range of industries. Constructed from glass reinforced plastic, these panels combine exceptional strength with lightweight properties, making them a practical solution for high-traffic areas and harsh environments. The reinforced structure of the panels ensures equal strength across all directions, offering outstanding load-bearing capacity and long-term durability.
The versatility of our GRP gratings makes them suitable for use in platforms, flooring, trench covers, and industrial GRP walkways. With resistance to corrosion, chemicals, and UV rays, these panels are ideal for outdoor and indoor applications in industries such as wastewater treatment plants, chemical facilities, and refineries. Whether you require platform gratings or GRP access platforms, we can customise our panels to meet your specific project requirements.

ISO 9001 and 14001 CERTIFICATE
Anti-corrosion
Composite walkway gratings are completely resistant to corrosion, which positively affects their long lifespan. Additionally, our gratings do not require scraping, sandblasting, or painting over time.
Lightweight
Thanks to their significantly lower weight compared to steel, they allow for easy and fast installation without the need for heavy lifting equipment. Our gratings weigh only 11.4 kg per square meter (25mm height) and 18.7 kg per square meter (38mm height).
Strength
Strength in harsh weather conditions and increased durability due to high chemical and corrosion resistance.
Products

High openwork gratings with a concave meniscus
They are characterized by low weight and remarkable resistance to mechanical damage.

Accessories
Mounting brackets are available in two material variants: black galvanized steel or stainless steel. Depending on the working environment, the appropriate material of the brackets should be selected.
Dimensions and types of gratings
Application
Gratings made of glass-reinforced composite (GRP) have a wide range of applications and will perform excellently as:

1. Work platforms in chemical plants, wastewater treatment plants and at electroplating baths.

2. Coverings for sewers, manholes, and outfalls.

3. Grates in electrolyzers, scrubbers, filters and washers.

4. Stair treads exposed to corrosive liquids.

5. Floors, platforms and others in environments with strong exposure to corrosion.
Mounting methods
RT gratings are supplied by the manufacturer TROKOTEX in sheets of standard dimensions. If you require, the openwork gratings can be easily cut to the desired size with power tools with a diamond blade. Holes for fittings and pipe passages through the gratings are recommended to be cut on site during assembly. The cut areas should be repainted with polyester resin solution or polyurethane varnish.
It is imperative that gratings be fastened to the supporting structure with screws and fastening brackets recommended by the manufacturer, according to these guidelines. If the gratings are not fastened, technological shrinkage of the laminate may cause deformation of the gratings. Lack of fastening or the use of other methods in the installation than those recommended does not guarantee proper operation and relieve the manufacturer of the obligations specified in the warranty.
A list of mounting brackets for attaching gratings to the supporting structure, you will find in the accessories tab.
When selecting the method of mounting the gratings to the supporting structure, you should be guided by the following guidelines:
Grates with a height of 25 mm:
– recommended support on all edges (support 2 load-bearing edges along the entire length, the remaining at least 20% of the length centrally at the point of greatest distance from the supports),
– Minimum support width of 40 mm,
– support spacing can not be more than 1000 mm, when installing sheets of larger dimensions, the grating should be additionally supported across the sheet.
Grates with a height of 38 mm:
– recommended support on at least 2 edges,
– Minimum support width of 40 mm,
– support spacing must not be greater than 1000 mm, when installing sheets of larger dimensions, the grating should be additionally supported across the sheet.

Enhanced safety with slip-resistant GRP walkways and platform stairs
Safety is a top priority in industrial and commercial environments, which is why our GRP walkways and platform stairs feature advanced slip resistance technology. During production, silicon carbide particles are embedded into the grating surface, creating a non-slip texture that provides excellent grip, even in wet or oily conditions. This feature significantly reduces the risk of slips and falls, making it ideal for high-traffic areas or environments exposed to hazardous liquids.
Our slip-resistant platform gratings are widely used in settings such as wastewater treatment facilities, offshore platforms, and chemical plants. Available in various configurations, including openwork and anti-slip surface designs, these gratings ensure a safe working environment while maintaining the durability and versatility of glass reinforced plastic materials.
FRP Grating: lightweight, strong, and corrosion-resistant
Our FRP grating (Fibre Reinforced Plastic grating) is designed to deliver exceptional performance across industrial, commercial, and municipal applications. Made from a combination of high-strength fibreglass and premium synthetic resins, FRP grating offers unmatched durability while remaining lightweight. Its unique properties make it an excellent alternative to traditional materials such as steel, especially in environments where corrosion resistance and ease of handling are crucial.
At Trokotex, we manufacture FRP grating panels that are highly versatile and customisable. They are available in a range of sizes, resin types, and surface finishes, including anti-slip designs, to meet the specific requirements of your project. Whether used for walkways, trench covers, platform gratings, or stair treads, FRP grating provides a reliable and cost-effective solution for demanding environments.
With its outstanding resistance to corrosion, chemicals, and UV rays, FRP grating is particularly suited for harsh conditions, such as wastewater treatment plants, offshore platforms, and chemical processing facilities. Its lightweight nature also simplifies installation and reduces labour costs, making it a practical choice for both temporary and permanent installations. Whatever your needs, our FRP grating products deliver superior strength, safety, and longevity.
